Arp Axxe

Arp Axxe

ARP Axxe is a monophonic fairly simple but also powerful synthesizer of the legendary ARP company. The Axxe is a step down version of the very famous Arp Odyssey synthesizer. Nonetheless is features some very nice and interesting features that can create some very nice fat analog bass sounds and leads.

One of its cool features are that you can mix the saw/ pulse waves with the noise section and get some very interesting sounds with depth (like Roland sh-101).

Some of the Arp Axxe versions also feature Moog Filters that give to the sound even more FAT results !

Many people claim that if you combine two of these machines you can get a better sound than a real Odyssey, but at the moment i don't have a personal opinion on this as i haven't tried it yet !

As always the ARP keys are a little bit fragile but if you are take care of them you won't have any serious problems.

As a final word I think that this machine is perfect for jamming and playing live as it is simple but also versatile ! A real straight forward synthesizer.
